Sewers in Australia have been clogged with wet wipes amid a toilet roll shortage trigged by coronavirus panic buying!
The country has been grappled by a so-called #toiletpaperapocalypse as shoppers fearful of quarantine stock up on two weeks worth of supplies. One newspaper even printed extra pages in its editions to help out those who’ve been cut short!
But despite the good intentions behind the gesture, water companies are urging people not to resort to alternative arrangements when they find themselves down to the last square.
A grim video shows part of a 14-tonne fatberg being removed from the Morpeth Wastewater Treatment Works in the Hunter region of New South Wales.
