We Can’t Slow Climate Change Without the Energy Companies

If energy companies work alongside environmentalists, we can achieve much faster and greater emission reductions.

Thankfully there are numerous large energy supply companies that already recognize the importance of sustainable energy and how they are a large part of the solution to climate change. There are oil and gas companies that have joined a partnership, built by the climate leadership council. These companies include BP, ExxonMobil, Shell and as part of their alliance have plans to reduce their carbon dioxide emissions by half by 2035.

These large companies have the development resources required to expand into low carbon energy processes such as biomass. The support from the oil and gas industry is pivotal when trying to achieve climate progress.
